GQ Best menswear designer awards

CFDA joined GQ once again for a showcase of FALL 2010 looks from six finalists. The event, held at the Gehry-designed IAC building offered a rotating cast of models that gave the party-goers close-up views of styles from Burkman Bros., Richard Chai, Caulfield Preparatory, J.Crew, Billy Reid and Unis.



And who made up the panel of judges? GQ Editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson, GQ Creative Director Jim Moore, CFDA Executive Director Steven Kolb, Levi’s SVP of Merchandising & Design Erik Joule, Bloomingdale’s VP of Fashion Direction Kevin Harter, and Calvin Klein Collection Men’s Creative Director Italo Zucchelli.

The prize? $50,000 in cash, a mentorship at GQ and a spread in the mag’s September issue, prime retail space at Bloomingdale’s nationwide and the opportunity to design a capsule collection for Levi’s.

The winner is to be announced today!
