Tulip Joshi is a Virgo, born on 11th September 1979, in Mumbai, India. She is one of three sisters, the other two being Selphi and Monalisa. Actor Rajat Bedi is Monalisa’s husband.
Joshi studied at the Jamnabhai Narsee School and Mithibai College. She has a degree in food science and chemistry. She was actively involved in sports and even competed in athletics at the National Level.
In 2000, she was a contestant in the Femina Miss India beauty contest. Standing 5’6” tall, Joshi landed assignments for ads like BPL, Siyaram, Ponds, Pepsi and Smirnoff.
She was noticed by the Chopra family at Aditya Chopra’s wedding and gave her a start in movies.

In 2002, Tulip Joshi made her debut with Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi as Anjali. She had used the screen name Sanjana as it sounded more Indian. It was a remake of the Hollywood movie My Best Friend’s Wedding. It starred Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu.
In Dil Maange More (2004) she played one of Shahid’s love interests and she was seen as Kalki in Manish Jha’s Matrubhoomi (2005) which was about the plight of women. After a break from movies due to a back injury she re-appeared in Pooja Bhatt’s Dhokha (2007), a Malayalam movie Mission 90 Days (2007) and a Punjabi movie Jag Jeondeyan De Mele (2009).
