After 25 years of marriage, Maria Shriver officialy files to divorce actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on July 1, Friday, due to "irreconcilable differences".
The filing comes after Schwarzenegger admits he fathered a child with Mildred Patricia Baena - a member of his household staff years ago.
Shriver's filing, however, does not indicate if the couple had a premarital agreement. If so, Schwarzenegger's earnings as a Hollywood superstar will most likely be evenly divided with his estranged wife.
Shriver is seeking spousal support, but the amount will be determined later, either through a settlement or by a judge.
Shriver and Schwarzenegger have four children together, including two sons who are still minors. Shriver's petition seeks joint custody of the teens, who are 17 and 13.
