NAUTICAL SCHMAUTICAL 2011

Photobucket

Maybe I was one in my last life (it would explain why I don't eat fish) but sailors and anchors are some of my favorite things. Perhaps it's just a love for an older time when things were simpler. These photographs are somewhat reminiscent of these times.

For their 2011 collection Larry Schwarz brings on Yuri Pleskun, Cole Mohr, Ash Stymest and Nicola Wincenc to go shoreside for the photoshoot. All aboard!

Photobucket

The fantastic Terry Richardson shot another shoot for Vman and here are the completely non-sexually suggestive images which have the similar theme that Dsquared are famous for. Just as well since Dsqaured items are featured on the shoot too.

The spread entitled “WORK IT OUT!” - Get pumped for spring – Cable Curls, Shoulder Shrugs, Kettle Weight Squats, Dumbbell Curls, Traps Stretches, Shoulder Presses, Glute Stretches, Pull-ups was styled by Mel Ottenberg and the muscled models include Garrett Neff, Tanner Tillung, Nate Gill, Corey Bond and Grayson Gettys.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Never the one to shy away from nudity, our beloved Tom Ford released these photo's as his new 2010 press campaign. Naturally Mr. Ford took these shots himself. As if Designing, Acting and Directing wasn't enough now he fancies himself a photographer too. The model was used in his prior campaign.

Vintage Paparazzi

Photobucket

Before the vicious, invasive "photographers" of our day, celebrities were snapped up in the usual suspects i.e movie sets, award ceremonies etc. Back in the day classy women like Bardot reigned unlike the assortment of "celebu-tards" that don the cover of trashy celebrity mags today... Lindsay Lohan I'm talking about you.

The James Hyman gallery in London has released a large series of photo's honoring the beauty and icon that was Brigitte Bardot, go have a look!
