NBA Finals 2011: Dallas Mavericks Wins 1st NBA Championship Title

The Dallas Mavericks sealed their first ever NBA championship title when they beat Miami Heat, 105-95, on game 6 of NBA Finals best-of-seven series.

Dirk Nowitzki Nowitzki was named the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP), after he averaged 26 points and almost 10 rebounds per game.

"I still really can't believe it... This has been an unbelievable ride," Nowitzki said. "This team deserves it, and the Mavs fans deserve it," he added.

"Dirk Nowitzki is one the greatest players in the history of this game. He had a tough shooting night in the first half, but other guys stepped up, and in the second half, he was amazing," said Mavs coach Rick Carlisle.
