Richie Sambora has left rehab.
The Bon Jovi guitarist checked into a US treatment facility in April after deciding he need some time out to regain his sobriety and deal with exhaustion and after leaving rehab last night , June 6, he is now preparing to fly to Croatia on Wednesday, June 8, and join his bandmates - Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres and David Bryan - on their European summer tour.
Richie previously spent time at the Cirque Lodge treatment facility in Utah in 2007 following a troubled period in his life, which included his divorce from wife Heather Locklear, separation from girlfriend Denise Richards and death of his father Adam and pals said it was while Richie was on the band's later tour, he came to the conclusion that he needed to seek help.
A source said: "Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together. Richie has had a busy year. I think this was a culmination of all the things that overloaded his life and finally he understood he needed to take care of himself."
Richie shares custody of his 13-year-old daughter Ava with ex-wife Heather.
